Rejections...

Received my first rejection letter today from a literary agency.  Well, at least they replied--unlike the other I don't know how many I've been submitting too.  Maybe they are just waiting to reject me too.  Quite discouraging, to say the least.

Now onto the next agency, then the next, and the next...hoping beyond hope that at least someone will like my work.

Okay, yeah, that must be a bummer. I'm sorry. But hey! I like your writing!! I don't know if that counts for anything, but there you have it. I've never tried to publish anything...I'm never happy enough with it.

    1. Thanks. And I'm usually unhappy with my writing, but I'm just trying to get some short stories published, some poems or something, before I finish my novels--which will probably be a long time. :)

  2. :( One of these days, someone's going to realize you're a literary genius and everybody who sends rejection letters is going to be wishing that they had been the first ones to publish the works of the great Madam Reagan Dyer.

    1. Thanks for being encouraging, Madame Amny. I am extremely grateful. And thou, thou must finish that great work of pen and ink that thou was informing me about. Or at least create something new for the sake of your friend so that she may enjoy your brilliance!

    2. Ah, Lady Reagan, I likewise appreciate thine kind words of encouragement, but said work of pen and ink (rather, times new roman and a computer screen) is slow to come. Mayhap thou shall be contented with some other piece that floweth more freely? Either way, this mind of mine shall never compare to your immense swarm of ideas!
